Govinda’s Lawyer ADMITS Sunita Ahuja Filed For Divorce 6 Months Ago; Latter’s Manager Refutes Claims

Sunita Ahuja has firmly denied speculation surrounding her divorce from Govinda, following claims made by the actor’s manager, Shashi Sinha, that her recent interviews may have fuelled such rumours. Meanwhile, Govinda’s lawyer, Lalit Bindal, has also made significant clarifications regarding their relationship status.

In a statement to Mint, Sunita Ahuja’s manager, Sadia Solkar, dismissed the swirling divorce rumours, asserting, “This is not true.”

The speculation arose after Shashi Sinha spoke to HT City, remarking, “Sunita ji ne jo recent interviews mein baatein boli hain, yeh unn sab ka nateeja hai. Unhone zyaada bol diya hai (The rumours began as a result of everything Sunita Ji has been saying in recent interviews. She might have said a bit too much).” When asked about any legal proceedings, he assured that no such involvement had taken place and urged people to wait for a day or two for further clarity.

Adding to the discourse, Govinda’s family friend and lawyer, Lalit Bindal, while speaking with India Today, stated that the couple was ‘going strong’. He disclosed that although they had filed for divorce nearly six months ago, the matter had since been resolved, and they were now together again.

He further mentioned that the couple recently travelled to Nepal for the New Year, where they performed a puja at Pashupati Nath Mandir. “Everything is fine between them now. Such things keep happening between couples, but they are going strong and will always be together,” he asserted.

Addressing further speculation, Bindal dismissed claims that Govinda and Sunita Ahuja were living separately. He clarified that the actor had purchased a bungalow opposite their long-time flat after becoming an MP, using it primarily for official purposes. “He attends meetings there and sometimes stays overnight, but the couple continues to live together,” he explained.

Bindal also criticised the misrepresentation of Sunita Ahuja’s statements, saying that selective quotes from her public appearances were being used out of context. “Like when she said ‘mujhe Govinda jaisa pati nahi chaiye’ (I don’t want Govinda as my husband in my next birth), she also added that she wanted a son like him. Or when she said he was with his own valentine, she meant he was working. It is unfortunate that people are only talking negatively about them when the couple is together. I can assure you that they will always be. No divorce is going to happen,” he concluded, putting the rumours to rest.
